Build and Kill Zombies Weapons and Contact Parts Tier List
The nose of the kart is the weapon. Ranked by ram value, not by Index rarity.
Build and Kill Zombies does not hand you a gun HUD. The weapon is the front of the kart. Spike rollers, plows, brick walls, and whatever Car Parts sells this week are the arsenal. This list ranks those contact tools so a code dump does not land on a cosmetic Index entry.
Read builds after this page. A weapon without wheels is a statue. A weapon without a Save is a story.
S — Spike roller / toothed plow
The official key art exists for a reason. A grey spiked cylinder in front of a purple body deletes green zombies without requiring aim. In Drive, that is contact DPS. Buy this the moment Car Parts stocks it. Keep it low; a roller on a tall stalk flips. HP should stay near 100% on the roller itself — if it is the 92% brick, you put the weak piece in the wrong slot.
Solo and co-op both love this nose. In a five-stack, call who gets the roller so you do not all ram the same zombie.
A — Wide bumper wall
A flat, wide brick wall on the nose. Lower single-target pop than the roller, much harder for a zombie to reach the seat. Best in online co-op when karts collide with each other as much as with the horde. Cheap. You can prototype it with starter bricks before Car Parts opens.
B — Turbo / extra wheels
Not a weapon, but they multiply weapons. Starter speed is ~10 studs/s. Turbo is why script GUIs show AUTO TURBO. Extra wheels keep mass from turning the roller into a boat. Buy these when the nose already exists. Boost pips on the HUD leaving +0% is the tell that turbo is working.
C — Side spikes and cosmetic blades
Look mean in Index. In Drive they hit air. Zombies approach from the front on the checkered grass. Side decorations add mass and HP debt. Save them for a meme Save slot, not the boss clock.
D — Unarmored seat / tall stacks / hanging toys
If the first thing a zombie touches is the cyan seat, you do not have a weapon. You have a chair. Tall stacks act as sails. Hanging toys from event boards are loot, not loadout, until you park them behind the roller.
Event-only bumps
Hacker Event and Admin Abuse can spawn temporary contact parts. Rank them S while the event is live if they keep HP at 100% through a King ram. Drop them when the board ends. Do not rebuild your entire build planner around a three-day item.
Matchups
- Red-shirt walkers (the common green zombie): roller or bumper, both fine.
- Dense clusters past the strip: roller, because one spin tags many.
- Boss / King 1x1x1x1: roller plus turbo plus co-op. Bumper-only karts take too long.
- On-foot accidents: you walked onto the grass with B instead of F. No weapon helps. See controls.
Spend in S → A → B order. C and D wait until farm cash is boring. Re-check this list after Car Parts gets a new stand; the game is still receiving live updates.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for lobby, Drive, codes, and boss timers.
Are guns in the game?
The live HUD is vehicle contact, Skills, and rolls — not a first-person shooter hotbar. The kart nose is the weapon.
Should I buy turbo before a plow?
No. Turbo on an unarmored seat just delivers you to zombies faster.
Does co-op change the weapons tier?
Wide bumpers climb when five karts share the grass. Rollers stay S either way.
